Last weekend the boys went to Amsterdam and the girls went to the Amalfi Coast. It was Beautiful. We left early Friday and spent the day in Pompeii and then hit the town of Amalfi that night. Since the town and roads are on a cliff, we had to take a shuttle from our hotel to the town center. The hotel was so nice (Hotel Doria). We met a few Italian boys on a scooter, and they met us in the town center. All of us grabbed some Peroni and drank it on the pier. It was such a fun evening, and the guys were very sweet. We also drank on the steps of the Duomo.
The next day we hit the beach. There was a Very attractive Australian renting out umbrellas and chairs that we all couldn't stop staring at! Jackie, Stacey, and I spent the entire day in Amalfi looking in all the shops and eating. The evening ended drinking limoncello and Sprite on the pier and then on our hotel's terrace. Limoncello is primarily made in the Amalfi Coast and their were lemons being grown all over the cliffs. Amazing. On Sunday we took a ferry to Positano. Half of the girls went back to Rome early but Jackie, Stacey, and I went to the beach at Positano and did some shopping.
This weekend we are staying in Rome to visit the sites because we haven't really gotten a chance to explore them yet. My friend Chris who's studying in Florence for a month is coming for the weekend so it'll be fun to walk around with him and his friends too. Last night we had happy hour at my professor's apartment above our studio. Vino & Sangria. Yum yum. We hit up a bar that was all you can drink beer til midnight, and we definitely took advantage of that! We've been basically laying around our apartment so tonight we are going to a lot of the sites like the Spanish Steps & Trevi Fountain. Should be fun!
I'm going to try to do a better job with updating my blog more frequently. Chao!
